AHP has completed a re-tendering process to complete its final SHQS programme to replace kitchens and bathrooms. The near £600,000 programme had been due to complete in May 2015. Unfortunately the contractor carrying out the works went into administration shortly after starting. In common with a number of other housing associations and local authorities who were also affected AHP had to reschedule and re tender the works.
Whilst we were very disappointed this problem arose -  especially for the tenants concerned, we are pleased to announce that we are in the process of appointing the new contractor and agreeing a revised schedule of works.
Glenn Adcook, AHP’s Group Executive Director is encouraged by this positive news and said: “subject to the finally agreed schedule we hope the works will substantially complete in September - this will signify the end of our  programme of upgrades to the trickle transfer stock to ensure we meet tenants expectations and help us meet our obligations to meet Scottish Housing Quality Standards”
By the end of the programme this will bring total expenditure on upgrading our trickle transfer houses to almost 4.9 million.
